/ Italfunction of Containment Bulletin No. 73-2 .,3..,.- Purge Supply Valve Suitc!.i p... A design revicu of the control circuit for the reactor build-y -- - ing containment ventilation system isolation valves installed at Rancho )- Seco fluclear Generating Station, Unit ilo.1, has been performed. The /; revicu verified that the failure of a single control switch could not' result in the simultaneous failure of the redundant supply valves or the redundant exhaust valves. With respcct to the containtrent purge valves, the design concept is to have a motor-operated valve (iiOV) on the inside of the reactor building and a pneumatically-cccrated (air-to-open) valve on the outside of the reactor building. ibis design concept is utili::cd i for both the purgo inlet duct and the purric outict duct. In addition, the internal iiOV is electrically connected to bus "A" and the external ~~ i pneumatically-operated valve is electrically connected to an independent. 125-volt direct-current source. Each of the four valves is connected to and. controlled by an independent e.uitch.
