In view of the recent meeting between SMUD personnel and representatives of the Directorate of Licensing to resolve any potential safety question relating to the differences in diameter and dancity of the resintered fuel pellet, and our confirmation during a recent inspection that all of the effected SMUD fuel has been inspected by either visual or nuclear scanning techniques, we find the corrective measures taken by the licensee and the fuel vendor to be technically adequate and consider the deficiency satisfactorily resolved.
