The attached report by our field inspectors of a visit to the subject
facility on June 10-13, 24 and 25, 1974 is forwarded for information.
No violations of Regulatory requirements were identified during the
course of the incpection.
You will note that the tendon test program conducted 2t VSL Corporation
demonstrated that routine lif t-off testing can be performed without
adverse effects. We therefore recommend no further action be taken
)
concerning the proposed method for routine testing of the tendons.
Although some items remain to be ' completed prior to operation of the
r'eactor, we believe that upon satisfactory performance of the safety
features actuation system test, fuel may be safely loaded into the
reactor. We consider that the other items listed in the report must be
.
completed prior to commencing the power ascension test program or as
I
otherwise required by the facility technical specifications.
