Dear Dr. Seaborg:

We are in the process of preparing a slide presentation for the Toledo Edison Company and the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company, '.vhich deals with the proposed Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station for Northeast Ohio. Enclosed you will find a tentative version of this script. You'will note that we have borrowed extensively from AEC material; in particular your speech of November 19, 1970, before the Associated Press Managing Editors' Convention in Honolulu. ,

We are writing to you directly because of the invaluable assistance you have given Storycraft in the past. Your appearances in our films for

- the Standard Oil Company of Ohio have given great authority to these presentations. .

Hopefully, you willbe able to assist us again by directing this request to the proper departments in the AEC. We are in need of some photos to help us complete the above mentioned slide presentation. Many of

- your publications contain photos of the type we need, however, we must work from photographs rather than the printed reproductions in the booklets.

Our script requires photos of people working within existing nuclear plants showing perhaps control beards, the reactor areas, etc. ; four or five of these would be ihvaluable. .

We also need six or seven photos showing exterior views of existing nuclear power plants, and photos of a nuclear submarine and nuclear aircraft carrier.

The script also calls for an exterior view of the NASA reactor station neai Sandusky, Ohio.

We will also need two photographs of yourself; one might be a close-up, the other could show you with a group of people.

In all cases color slides would be preferable, but we can work with color prints or even black-and-white prints.

Any assistance you can give us would be greatly appreciated.
