References (1) and (2) contain a paragraph which states that the pressurizer spray valve =nst not be opened with nitrogen in the pressuricer. This li=it was established at a time when nitrogen was used to pressurice the RCS to a condition where the CRDM's could be operated. Present operating li=its preclude CRII! operation with nitrogen in the p essei:er and provide for adequate venting of gas prior to operation.
Since the prohibition against spray valve opening with nitrogen in the pressricer provides an unnecesscry operational li=itation du-ing plant cocidown, please delete this paragraph from yor respective procedres.

This limit was established at a time when r.itrogen was used to pressurite the KCS to a condition where CRDMs could be operated.
Present operating limits preclude CpSM operation wi:h nitrogen in the'pressuriser and provide for adequate venting of gas prior to operation.
Since the prohibi: ion against spray valve opening with nitrogen in the pressurizer provides an unnecessary operational limitation during plant cooldown, please reco==end to your customer that this paragraph be deleted.
