OF REGULA'IORY REQUIREMFMTS REVIEvi COK4ITTEE MEETING NO. 59, FEBRUARY 18, 1977
'Ihe Comittee reviewed:
1.
Backfit Recomendations on Proposed Begulatory Guide 4.12, " HYDROLOGIC DESIGN CRITERIA EOR WATER-CCNTROL STRUCIURES NOT RELATED TO RADIO-LOGICAL SAFETY AND CONSTRUCTED FOR NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS" dated November 3,1976, and recomended approval.
2.
REQUEST FOR RRRC REVIEW OF HYDROIDGY-METEOROLOGY BRANCH POSITION ON ACCIDENT METEDROIDGY ASSESSMENTS, dated December 10, 1976, and recomended disapproval in its present form with the further recomendation that the proposed position be prepared as a regulatory guide to be issued for coment, and returned for Comittee review.
3.
Proposed Regulatory Guide 1.XX, " MAINTENANCE, TESTING AND REPLACE %T OF LARGE LEAD S'IORAGE BATTERIES FOR NUCLEAR POWER PIANTS" dated December 20, 1976, and recomended approval with the coment that test interval requirements are already covered in Regulatory Guide 1.32 and should be deleted from this proposed guide.
The Comittee characterized this guide as Category I - no backfit. -
4.
PROPOSED REVISIONS TO CATEGORY DEFINITIONS UTILIZED BY THE COMMITTEE IN CHARACTERIZING BACKFIT POTENTIAL OF REGULATORY GUIDES, and after considerable discussion, the Chairman requested all members to submit written coments to him prior to the next meeting (presently scheduled for March 18,1977).
