PIOPOSED REVISION 1 TO REGULATORY GUIDC 1.106, "THERf!AL OVERLOAD PIOTECTION FOR ELECTRIC eDIORS ON MOICE-OPERATED VALVES" and recommended aoproval.
The Comittee characterized this guide as Category 1 - No backfit.

PROPOSED REGULATORY GUIDE 1.XX, "It1STALLATIOd DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF LARGE LEAD STORAGE BATTERIES FOR 11UCLEAR POER PLANTS" and recoc.T. ended approval with the following comment:
a.
Although the Comittee characterized this guide QCategory 1 - No backfit, it recommended that the Office of Inspection and Edforcement give added emphasis in its inspection of existing facilities to the hydrogen explosion potential of large lead sealed cell storage batteries.
3.
PROPOSED REVISION 1 TO REGULAIORY GUIDE 1.97, "INSTRUMD1TATION FOR LIGHT-WATER-COOLED dUCLEAR PONER PLANTS TO ASSESS PLANT CONDITIONS DURING AtID FOLIMING AN ACCIDENT" and returned it to the staff for rework and resubmittal in accordance with Comittee comments, including:
a.
Justification of the specific values chosen for the ranges of the instruments listed in paragraph C-3.
b.
Consideration of the environmental Iincluding seismic) qualifications for these instruments listed in paragrapn C-3.

Consideration of the comments on this guide from the Division of Operating Reactors (Environmental Evaluation Branch).
