1.
Proposed Revision 1 to Regulatory Guide 1.68, " INITIAL TEST PROGRAMS FOR WATER-COOLED REACTOR POWER PLANTS." and recomended approval.
The Comittee characterized this guide as Category 1 - No backfit.
2.
Proposed Regulatory Guide 1.68.X, (RS-507-4) " INITIAL STARTUP TEST PROGRAM TO DEMONSTRATE RENOTE_ SHUTDOWN. CAPABILITY FOR WATER-COOLED NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS," and recomended approval ~~ ^~
subject to the following coment:
a.
The terminology and definitions utilized in this guide should be consistent with those utilized in Standard Technical Specifications.
For operating license applications now under review, the Comittee characterized this guide as Category 3 - backfit required.
For operating reactors, the Comittee characterized this guide as Category 2 - Futther staff consideration of individual cases required Tn order to determine the need for backfitting.
3.
Proposed Revision to Regulatory Guide 1.105 [RS(DS 506-41)],
" INSTRUMENT SETPOINTS," and recomended approval subject to the following coment:
a.
Appropriate language should be included in the guide concerning the required accuracy of instrumentation set points, taking into account the language and limitations included in Standard, Technical Specifications.
The Comittee characterized this guide aLCategory 2 - Furthet staff consideration of individual cases requiredTn~ order to determine the need for backfitting.

Proposed Revision to " TORNADO MISSILE CRITERIA," Standard Review Plan 3.5.1.4, and recomended approval with the suggestion that the staff vigorously pursue additional work in this area along the lines of the Comittee coments, especially those concerning the selection of a design basis tornado having a higher probability of occurrence.
