Regulatory Guide 9.2, Proposed Revision 1, INFORMATION NEEDED BY THE NRC STAFF IN CONNECTION WITH ITS ANTITRUST REVIEW 0F CONSTRUCTION PERMIT APPLICATIONS FOR NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS, and recommended approval subject to the following comments:
An implementation section should be added indicating that a.
the guide is effective on the date of issuance.
b.
In Section A, Introduction, wording should be added to better characterize the nature of the information needed by the staff as set forth in the guide, as related to that required in Appendix L of 10 CFR Part 50 for the Attorney General.
This guide was characterized by the Committee as Category 1-No Backfit.

WORKING PAPER ON PROPOSED REGULATORY GUIDE ON FUEL DENSIFICATION, and referred it back to the staff with the following comments:

WORKING PAPER and suggested that this issue be resubmitted to the Committee either as a Branch Technical Position (BTP) or as a regulatory guide.

Whether in the form of a guide or a BTP, an implementation section and an impact assessment should be provided with the next submittal.
