l.
Proposed Regulatory Guide 1.XXX (DS 533 5), PERIODIC TESTING OF ELECTRIC POWER AND PROTECTION SYSTEMS, and recomended approval subject to the following coment:
a.
Paragraph 10a of the Regulatory Position Section C (bottom of page 5 of the draft) should be deleted.
The original wording in subsection (2) of IEEE Std 338-1975 (which this proposed paragraph C10a was to replace) is satisfactory as is.
I The Comittee characterized this guide as Category 2 Further staff consideration of individual ~ cases required in order to determine the need for backfitting.

Impact and Backfitting of Proposed Regulatory Guide 1.XX, TORNADO DESIGN CLASSIFICATION, and recomended that these considerations be included in the staff deliberations in following through on the Comittee characterization of this guide as Category 2_-
Further staff consideration of individual cases' required in order to detemine the need for backfitting.
The Comittee further recomended that the Implementation Section of the WORKING PAPER "F" October 23, 1976 of the guide be revised in line with current practice and indicate effectiveness 8 months after publication of the guide for coment.
The Comittee requested that this guide be returned for Comittee review upon final revision following the coment period, if significant coments are received.
