Implications Re Nuclear Power Plant Design, will hold a meeting on October 3, 1979 in Room 1046, 1717 H St., NW, Washington, DC 20555.
Notice of this meet-ing was published on August 23, 1979.
In accordance with the procedures outlined in the Federal Register on October 4,1978, (43 FR 45926), oral er written statements may be presented by memoers of the public, recordings will be permitted only during those portions of the meeting when a transcript is being kept, and questions may be asked only by members of the Subcommittee, its consultants, and Staff.
Persons desiring to make oral statements should notify the Designated Federal E:aployee as far in advance as practicable so that appropriate arrangements can be :nade to allow 1
the necessary time during the meeting for such statements.
The agenda for subject meeting shall be as follows:
Wednesday, October 3, 1979 8:30 a.m. until the conclusion of business.
The Subcommittee may meet in Executive Session, with any of its consultants who may be present, to explore and exchange their prelimi-nary opinions regarding matters which should be considered during the meeting and to fomulate a report and recommendation to the full Com-mittee.

, At the cofclusion of the Executive Session, the Subcomittee will hear presentations by and hold discussions with representative of the NRC Staff, the nuclear industry, various utilities, and their consultants, state and local officials, and other interested persons, regarding the implications of the Three Mile Island, Unit 2 Accident as they relate to the following:
8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon Reactors similar to the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Generating Station and the boiling-water reactors that are expected to r eceive operating licenses in the near-tenn (Zimmer and La Salle).
Mr. Richard K. Major is the Designated Federal Employee for this portion of the meeting.
1:00 a.m. until the conclusion of business.
Reactors similar to Westinghouse Ice Condenser /tipp Head Injection (UHI) Plants that are expected to receive operating Tice.Jes in the near-term (Sequoyah and McGuire).
Dr. Richard P.Savio is the Designated Federal Err.plcyee for this portion of the meeting.
In addition, it may be necessary for the Subconmittee to hold one or more closed sessions for the purpose of exploring matters involving pro-prietary infonnation.
I have determined, in accordance with Subsection 10(d) of Public Law 92-463, that, should such sessions be required, it is necessary to close these sessions to protect proprietary infonnation (5 U.S.C. 557.b(c)(4)).
