Dear Dr. Alvarez:
As I promised during our telephone conversation recently, enclosed is a draft chronology prepared by one of our task forces.
It is by no means a finished product and others exist in more depth. However, unlike the others, this discussion synthesizes most of the key events in which we are interested.
When combined with the Draft Report Outline forwarded to you earlier, it will hopefully provide the necessary background information for you to critque our present and planned efforts.
We regret your being unable to attend our meeting 15-16 August but certainly understand the busy schedule you must keep.
