MEMORANDUM FOR: All SIG Members FROM:
George T. Frampton, Jr.
SUBJECT:
DEPOSITIONS Attached is a list of prospective witnesses who may have to be deposed in a transcribed interview.
In order to insure maximum coordination, each witness has been assigned an attorney.
The assigned attorney is in charge of coordinating preparations for the deposition of that witness, i.e., coordinating with Task Group Leaders whose groups are interested in interrogating that witness; identifying the areas to be covered; and either pulling together from the various Task Group members (or assigning someone from a Task Group to pull together) all of the information necessary to perform the interrogation (questions, documents, summary of prior testimony of the witness, deposition outline or notes where appropria te, etc. ).
The attorney should also consult with the interested Task Group leaders to determine who should attend the deposition and who should take the lead in actually doing the questioning.
Our paralegals are already working on deposition outlines for some fifteen important witnesses.
The attorneys should coordinate with me on further paralegal assistance.
