PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Mr. Doddons, B&W Manager of Nuclear Training, has informed me that B&W offers a ese-week course on their Nuclear Steam Supply System.
This course is designed for Utility Management and consists of approximstely twenty-five hours of classroom lectures and fif teen hours of practical demonstrations utilising the B&W Nuclear Power Plant Simulator.
Mr. Deddons has further informed me that B&W would be pleased to have members of the Operator Licensing Branch attend these courses on a tuition free basis.
Other vendors have extended similar invitations and on four occasions we have sent headquarter examiners to Westinghouse and General Electric training centers.
I request that Mr. R. J. Bursey, PWR Group Leader, OLB, be permitted 10, 1971.
to participate in the B&W course during the week of May Attandance at the course vill increase Mr. Bursey's knowledge of the B&W Nuclear Steam Supply System and better prepare him for the forthcoming examinations at Oconee.
