RECORD OF TELEPHONE CONVERSATION August 1, 1979 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Mr. Gene Ball FERC 275-4693 I called Mr. Ball to determine GPU's position with the Pa.-N.J.-Md.
Interconnection (pool).
Gene said to remember that the GPU sub's have an interchange agreement among themselves as well.7s being in the pool.
4 He did not know the specifics of pool status, but mentioned FERC now has a request outstanding to GPU for pool information.
The pool planning period is June 1 - May 31. Gene believes GPU was in a deficit position since June 1, 1978. Also believes some arrangement was made with pool to cover deficit until December 31, 1978.
Does not think that date critical.
The PhM pool is a sumer peaking pool so feels probably little incentive on GPU's part to bring TMI-2 on line by any date in winter as long as would be on line before 1979 summer paak.
He believes the capacity charge for u deficit capacity position accrues weekly based on weekly actual capacit (with the plan (as prepared two f
years earlier).
ce,ya; eg Gene relies primarily on GPU and PVM pool staff for status of pool members.
