"I have co'nferred by telephone several times today with s
Mr. Harold Denton, who is Director of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation for the NRC, as well as the on-site authority in this matter, and,with Chairman Joseph Hendrie of the Commission.-
"I have also been in contact throughout the day with the appropriate state officials, e..-
" Based on the information I have received from, these sources,
I have reached these conclusions:
1.
My advisory that pregnant women and pre-school children stay out of the area within five miles of the plant site will remain in'effect for at least another night.
2.
Evacuation of a broader nature c<'ntinues to be unnecessary at this time.
3.
Decisions regarding school closings and leave policy for state employees will be made, and announced, as s: son as possible on Sunday.

There continues to b,e no threat to public' health in the milk or drinking water of central Pennsylvania, based on readings from our Departments of Environmental' Re'ources "a'nd s
