Dear Mr. Edwards:
Thank you for your letter of April 4,1979 in which you provided a technicht evaluation of portions of the Three Mile Island accident.
I apologizo for not providing an answer to you sooner, but the Cossaission and staff have been occupied with continued support of the efforts at Three Mile Island, Orders to other facilities, appearances before the President's Connaission and various commaittees of Congress that are investigating the Three Mile Island accident, and the realignment of our own resources and priorities to give ineiediate attention to the problems resulting from the accident.
As you are aware, the issue of the hydrogen bubble in the Three Mile Island reactor was resolved without incident and we have taken steps to ensure that such an accident does not reoccur. I thank you for your concern in this regard.
