'j Uednesday,1: arch 26,1979,a nuclear power plant near liarrisburg, Pennsylvania, had an almost fatal accident.
This accident caused radioactive chemicals to escape and thus played a game with our lives.
This had fri5htened many people including myself.
At first, expectant mothers and pre-school children were told to evacuate the area.
This made the people more frightened, to the point that they themselves evacuated the area even though they didn' t have to.
My question to you is what is the purpose of nuclear power plants?
If the answer to that questien is that it is used for energy, why?
In research studies, we have enough coal to use as energy for 200,000 years.
So why do we have to have a nuclear power plant?
We may use the nuclear povier plants someday, but why now, why today, if we have an abundance of coal energy for 200,000 years?
Why play with our lives?
We can make an analogy with the idea of nuclear power plants.
Havind these plants is not on our own free will, as if to ride a plane even though we are terrified of it.
You know how some people are afraid of planes.
They are afraid that they will go on a plane and the plane will crash.
Well, the world is the plane and we are the passengers.
The pilots are the government, which we will have to listen and obey as if it were for our own good.
Maybe we don't want to Go on this plane, but we were forced to go on it the day we were born.
So, we have to be on this plane and everything is going just fine and then we feel a little safe.
Eut, all of a sudden, the plane loses its fuel and is Going to crash.
There are no parachutes for our safety, ae-if the pilots had ordered to do this, so we have to go down (crash) with the plane (the world).

nappening to us ricnt now. The world is crashir.c v.ith all of ur in it and why? The government allows us to live with these che:.icals and these nuclear power plants and they are playing with our lives. Isn' t it enough that they are running us by ruling over us in our government, but now they are trying to choose whether or not we should live. God gave us our lives and only God can take it away.
These chemicals leak and the plane crashes. That's all that can happen. It doesn't matter how we try to get rid of these plants, but no one will listen to us. We are like engineers and we detect a weakness in the engine of the plane and the pilots won't listen to us even though they know we are right. It just keeps going on and someday they would know that they should have listened to us-the engineers.
What could we do then? Is there anything we can do now,so they could hear us before it's too late? Can't somebody help us get off this plane?
Can't we Get rid of these nuclear power plants?
In this endless plane flight, one of these days, just c.e of these days, this plane will crash. It may be our fault and then again it may not be our fault.
Whoever takes the blame, it will be too late. And what then?....
