CONSUMERS POWER COMPANY DOCKET NO. 50-255 PALISADES PLANT AMENDMENT TO PROVISIONAL OPERATING LICENSE 8
Amendment No. 56 License No. DPR-20 1.
The Nuclear Regulatory Connission (the Commission) has found that:
A.
The application for amendment by Consumers Power Company (the licensee) dated April 11, 1980, as supplemented by letter dated April 16, 1980, complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Commission's rules and regulations set forth in 10 CFR Chapter I; B.
The facility will operate in confonnity with the application, the provisions of the Act, and the rules and regulations of the Coranission; C.
There is reasonable assurance (1) that the activities authorized by this amendment can be conducted without endangering the health and safety of the public, and (ii) that such activities will be conducted in compliance with the Commission's regulations;
$'. The issuance of this ameadment will not be inimical to the D
connon defense and secur9ty or to the health and safety of the public; and E.
The issuance of this amendment is in accordance with 10 CFR Part 51 of the Connission's regulations and all applicable requirements have been satisfied.

Accordingly, Provisional Operating License No. OPR-20 is hereby amended by adding a new Paragraph 3.G to read as follows:
"G The licensee may proceed with the feedwater line water hammer test as identified in the Cannission's staff Safety Evaluation supporting knendment No. 56 to License No. DPR-20, dated April 30,1980. This test shall be conducted as specified in the Palisades Plant Special Test Procedure T-130 or a revision to the subject procedure. This license condition is only applicable during startup testing at the beginning of Cycle 4."

This license amendment is effective as of the date of its issuance.
