O UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMISSION DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND 50-301 WISCONSIN ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY
-NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS TO FACILITY OPERATING LICERSES The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Conc.ission (the Co.. mission) has issued Amendment Ft. 44 to Facility Ooerating License No. DPR-24, and Amendment No. 49 to Facilit3 Operating License No. DPR-27 issued to Wisconsin Electric Power Company (the licensee), which revised Techni-cal Specifications for operation of Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos.
I and 2 (the facilities) located in the Town of Two Creeks, Manitowoc.
County, Wisconsin. The amendments are effective as of the date of issuance.
The amendments authorize reactor operation at either 2250 or 2000 psia for. Point Beach Unit 2, and restricts the operation of Point Seach Unit 1 to 2000 psia as required by the Order issued on January 3,1980.
The application for the' amandments complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act),
and the Commission's rules and regulations. The Comnission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendments., Prior public notice of these amendments'is not required since the amendments do not involve a significant hazards consideration.
The Commission has determined that the issuance of these amendments will not result in any significant environmental im;act and that pursuant i

7590-01 2 to 10 CFR 551.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statecent or negative declaration and environmental icpact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of these amendicents.
