APR 2 81980 MEMORANDUM FOR: WM-21 File FROM:

Hubert J. Miller, Section Leader Uranium Recovery Licensing Branch

SUBJECT:

COMPLETION OF URANIUM REC 0VERY LICENSING BRANCH REVIEW 0F PROPOSED KE0TA IN-SITU LEACH PROJECT i

0F WYOMING HINERALS 1

WMUR performed a technical review of the subject proposed KE0TA in-situ 4

extraction facility in Colorado at the request of the State (letter A.

Hazel to J. B. Martin of November 20,.1978).

i This meno documents completion of this technical assistance review case.

The WMUR staff reviewed the proposed application of Wyoming Minerals and issued a letter report identifying areas needing additional information (letter from R. A. Scarano to A. J. Hazel of June 8,1979). WMUR involvement was to have continued after this but change in ownership and indefinite postponement of the project, as learned in January, resulted in termination of '24UR efforts on the case. The case is considered complete as of January 1980.
