Docket Nos. 50-498A, - 499A; Texas Utilities Generating Company (Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station; i Units 1 and 2) Docket Nos. 50-445A, - 446A Gentlemen:

Today Houston has filed Houston Lighting & Power Com-pany's Motion to Compel Production of Documents and Deposi-tion Testimony by the Public Utilities Board of Brownsville and its Expert Witness, John W. Wilson.

Given the timing of the instant case it would appear that even if the pending brief request for extension of time is granted, an expedited response to Houston's Motion is warranted to permit completion of expert witness discovery.1/

Houston respectfully proposes the following expedited sched-ule:

l_/ Houston is mindful, moreover, of the Chairman's request, during the March 28, 1980 conference call between Houston, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff, and the Depart-ment of Justice, that all motions presented to the Board from this point on should be responded to on an acceler-ated basis.
