SUBJECT:

Grand Gulf Nucleaf Station Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-416/417 File 0272/0498/15526 PRD-79/12, Final Report on Rosemount 510 DU Trip Units AECM-80/56 On September 4, 1979, Mississippi Power & Light Company notified Mr. V. Brownlee of your office of a potentially reportable deficiency at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station construction site. The deficiency concerns the Rosemount 510 DU Trip Units drawing more current than originally specified, causing the associated power supplies to be inadequate. In our letter to you, AECM-79/110, dated October 2, 1979, we advised you of our determination that this deficiency was reportable, as per 10CFR50.55(e).

Our complete final report on this matter, in accordance with 10CFR50.55(e), is attached. In addition to the information provided in our above referenced letter, this report also includes our corrective action plan.
