Federal Regaster Notice NUCLEAR REXiUIATORY COiMISSION ADVISORY CCMMITTEE ON REAC'IOR SAFEX3UARDS Notice of Proposed Meetings In order to provide advance information regarding proposed meetings of the ACRS Subcommittees and Working Groups, and of the full Committee, the following preliminary schedule reflects the current situation, taking into account additional meetings which have been scheduled and meetings which 1
have been postponed or cancelled since the last list of proposed meetings published December 20,1979 (44 FR 75533). 'Ihose meetings which are definitely scheduled have had, or will have, an individual notice published in the Federal Register approximately 15 days (or more) prior to the meeting.
Rose Subcommittee and Working Group meetings for which it is anticipated that there will be a portion or all of the meeting open to the public are indicated by an asterisk (*).
It is expected that the sessions of the full Committee meeting designated by an asterisk (*) will be open in whole or in part to the public. ACRS full Committee meetings begin at 9:30 a.m. and Subcommittee and Forking Group meetings usually begin at 8:30 a.m.
'Ihe exact time when items listed on the agenda will be discussed during full Committee meetings and when Subcommittee and Working Group meetings will start will be published prior to each meeting. Se Subcommittee will discuss: 1) consistency of actual component failure experience with that projected in NASH-1400, 2) probabilitics of the September 24,1977 Davis Besse and the March 20, 1978 Rancho Seco events using WASH-1400 methodology, 3) risk cepmnarison of nuclear plants with other methods of electricity generation, and 4) cuntitative safety goals for nuclear power plants. Notice of this meeting was cablished January 22, 1980.

We Subcommittee will discuss procedures for cc.fuct of ACRS activities including manage-ment of the ACRS Fellowship Program and prc,.edures for handling dissenting professional opinions. - Emergency Core Cooling Systems / Reactor Fuels, February 14, 1980, Washington, DC.
We Subcommittees will discuss pwposed changes in the fuel clad ballooning models for Appendix K to 10 CFR 50.54 and the offeet of these changes on vendor evaluation models.
Also, discussions will be held on the effects of externally mounted thermocouples on 14FT fuel, and the analysis of small break LOCAs in Westinghouse UHI reactors.
- Plant Arrangements, February 20-21, 1980, Washington, DC.
On February 20 the Subcom-mittee will discuss the Sandia Iaboratories recently completed " Final Report (Draft) on Phase I of Generic Task No. A-17, Systems Interaction in Nuclear Power Plants." On February 21 the Subcommittee will discuss the status of various generic items contained in the ACRS March 21, 1979 report, " Status of Generic Items Relating to Light-Water Reactors: Repo rt No. 7. "
- General Electric Test Reactor (GETR), February 22, 1980, San Francisco, CA Area. We Subcommittee will continue its review of the gelogic and seismologic aspects of the GETR plant site. Other matters related to the NRC Order to Show Cause may also be discussed. Notice of this meeting was published December 20, 1979.
- Babecek and Wilcox Water Reactors, March 4,1980, Washington, DC.
S e Subcommittee will. continue its discussion of the sensitivity to transients of once-through steam generators (CyrSG) and other features of Babcock and Wilcox designed nuclear plants.
- Reculatory Activities, March 5, 1980, Washington, DC.
S e Subcommittee will review regulatory guides and revisions to existing regulatory guides; also, it may discuss pertinent activities which affect the current licensing process and/or reactor operation.
