I have been informed of your villingness to serve an additional four-year '
term as a member of the Advirory Committee on Reactor Safeguards. As you know the Committee serves an important role in providing independent advice to the Commission with respect to the licensing of nuclear facilities, the adequacy of proposed reactor safety standards, and the NRC reactor safety research program.
Accordingly, the Commission is pleased to offer you re-appointment to the ACRS for a four-year term to begin April 1,1980.
