VERMONT YANKEE Fire Protection Review Item 3.1.13 - Portable Ventilation Equipment The SER dated January 13, 1978 states that portable ventilation equip-ment will be provided and procedures will be developed for its use by i the fire brigade such that smoke can be vented from the enclosed areas  :

to permit access for manual fire fighting.  !

On March 6, 1978 we wrote to the staff recommending that the SER require three portable smoke ejectors of the standard fire department type with  !

a combined capacity of 17,500 to 20,000 CFM.

To date, we have no licensee input on this subject. We still recommend l that the ventilation equipment outlined above be installed.
