VERMONT YANKEE Fire Protection Review Item 3.1.13 - Portable Ventilation Equipment The SER dated January 13, 1978 states that portable ventilation equip-ment will be provided and procedures will be developed for its use by i
the fire brigade such that smoke can be vented from the enclosed areas to permit access for manual fire fighting.
On March 6, 1978 we wrote to the staff recommending that the SER require three portable smoke ejectors of the standard fire department type with a combined capacity of 17,500 to 20,000 CFM.
To date, we have no licensee input on this subject. We still recommend l
that the ventilation equipment outlined above be installed.
