Dear Dr. Ahearne:
I write concerning the proposed decontamination of the Dresden I Nuclear Power Station in Morris, Illinois.
The Illinois Safe Energy Alliance has requested the completion of an environmental impact statement before the decontamination proceeds.
I strongly endorse this request, and I urge you to act favorably on it.
A great deal of uncertainty continues to linger over the process to be used at Dresden and its environmental effects.
An environmental impact statement would allow detailed analysis, consideration, and comment.
It is a sound, prudent step, and I hope that it is begun without delay.
I appreciate your attention to this matter.
Si,erely yours, r
/.
