SUMMARY
OF MEETING HELD ON MARCH 19, 1980 TO DISCUSS THE FUEL ROD EXPANSION On March 19, 1980, representatives of the NRC met with representatives of NSP to discuss details of the fuel pool expansion proposed by NSP on January 31, 1980.
Attendees are listed in attachment 1.
The agenda for the meeting is given in attachment 2.
Summary The meeting was opened by M. Grotenhuis with introductions of the NRC staff and by indicating that the meeting had been suggested by NSP to assure that the staff had an early opportunity to ask questions about the application.
Mr. J. Gonyeau opened the NSP presentation with introductory Item I, parts A and B, which indicated the need for and the general description of proposed modifications.
Mr. D. Vincent reviewed the proposed schedule and showed the relationship of the construction schedule to the reload schedule of the plant.

The technical presentation was given by Mr. B. Johnson and Mr. Q. Hossain.
They discussed the items listed in Part II of the agenda.
During the discussion i
of each item, any unresolved questions were noted by NSP.
Additional information will be submitted by NSP in these areas.
Mr. D. Vincent then reviewed the installation of the new racks.
Mr. J. Gonyeau summarized the meeting and indicated the areas in which additional information will be submitted.
