- Amaryl, The NRC will conduct a routine inspection at NFS the week of November 4th, 2019. The inspection will implement the following NRC inspection procedures (IPs):
IP 88015 Nuclear Criticality Safety (Tim Sippel, Nick Peterka)
IP 88054 Fire Protection - Triennial (Leonard Pitts, Lindsey Cooke, Greg Goff)

NFS FPT-NCS3 2019005 Document Request IP 88054 - TRIENNIAL FIRE PROTECTION (Pitts, Cooke, Goff)
Documents Requested for Preparation
- 1. Organization chart for the fire protection (FP) organization along with names and contact information of key licensee personnel needed during the onsite inspection
- 2. Fire protection program document and associated implementing procedures
- 3. Copy of pre-fire plan(s) for fire-fighting organizations
- 4. Procedure(s) for control of transient combustibles and ignition sources
- 5. Description of any changes to fire protection-related IROFS, if any
- 6. Copy of the Fire Hazard Analysis
- 7. Procedure(s) and most recent results for surveillance inspection/testing of FP systems, including passive components (e.g. fire area boundaries, fire barriers, penetration seals, work area inspections, etc.) and active components (e.g. detection devices, water-based suppression, fire water pumps flow/pressure tests, fire water tanks, gaseous suppression, fire extinguishers, etc.)
- 8. Procedure(s) and most recent results for surveillance inspection/testing of emergency lighting.
- 9. Procedure(s) and records confirming that training and qualifications for emergency response personnel have been maintained
- 10. Documentation showing that offsite fire-fighting organizations have been given the opportunity for site orientation in accordance with the license application (10 CFR 40.31 or 10 CFR 70.22)
- 11. List of condition reports in the FP area since the last NRC inspection pertaining to fire protection
- 12. Copy of any FP program condition report that occurred since the last NRC inspection and resulted in a root cause or extent of condition evaluation
- 13. Copy of independent audits, self-assessments, or QA surveillances performed since the last NRC inspection pertaining to fire protection
- 14. Memorandum of Understanding/Mutual Aid Agreement with local fire departments
