Gentlemen:

The following summarizes the results (to date) of our walkdown performed to identify seismic category I piping and safety related systems attached to or in close proximity to concrete block walls. These numbers are preliminary and may be adjusted once the survey is complete.

ANO-1 The Unit I walkdown should be completed January 30, 1980. To date we have located 2S3 concrete block walls. All but 19 of these have been reviewed in order to determine if seismic category I piping or safety related systems are attached to or in close proximity to them. These are in high radiation areas and will be surveyed when accessible. Of the remaining 264 walls 182 have been ' determined to not affect seismic category 1 or safety related systems.

The remaining S2 will be analyzed further. Large pipe is supported by con-crete block walls in 5 locations.

ANO-2 The Unit 2 walkdown is essentially complete. Of the 328 walls surveyed (20 have not been surveyed due to existing high radiation levels) 98 walls have seismic category I piping or safety related systems attached or in close pro-ximity to the wall. No large pipe is attached to concrete block walls in Unit 2.

Very truly yours, w e. sat David C. Trimble Manager, Licensing DCT/M0h'/gp
