In accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 50.59, we are enclosing 40 copics of a requested amendment to license DPR-77 to change the technical specifications of Sequoyah Nuclear Plant unit 1 (Enclosure 1).

Also enclosed are justificat. ions to support the proposed changes (Enclosure 2).

The enclosed changes consist of clarification changes, corrections, and modificati ms o radioactive effluent monitoring requirements.

In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR Part 170.22, we have deter-mined the. proposed amendment to be Class III.. The classification is based on the. fact that most of the changes are corrective in nature.

The remittance'of $4,000 is being wired to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Attention: Licensing Fee Management branch.
