20555 Docket flo. 50-312 Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No.1
Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
This letter is in response to the request for information con-tained in your letter dated February 25, 1980, relative to turbine disc integrity in operating Westinghouse nuclear lot pressure turbines.
Re-sponses to the generic questions have been coordinated through a task force whose representation includes all owners of Westinghouse nuclear low pressure turbines, with Mr. Wayne Stiede of Commonwealth Edison as chairman.
The consensus responses to the generic questions have been submitted to you by Westinghouse in Mr. J. M. Schmerling's letter dated fiarch 14, 1980. The Sacramento Municipal Utility District is in agree-ment with these responses and concurs that these responses represent our reply to the generic question portion of your February 25, 1980 letter.
Needless to say, our agreement with the Westinghouse answers to Questions IV, V, and VI, is not intended to indicate that we believe water chemistry is the sole cause of the cracking.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely yours, fucNLL ohn
