20555 License No. DPR-35 Docket No. 50-293 NRC Letter Concerning LWR Primary Coolant System Pressure Isolation Valves
Dear Sir:
In response to the subject NRC letter, all systems at Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station Unit #1 were reviewed to determine if an Event V isolation valve configuration exists within the Class I boundary of the high pressure piping and low pressure piping; e.g.,
(1) two check valves in series, or (2) two check valves in series with a motor operated valve.
The results of this review showed that no such valve lineups exist at Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station Unit #1.
