TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY CH ATTANCCG A. TENNESSCE 374ot 400 Chestnut Street Tower II March 20, 1980 Mr. Harold R. Denton, Director Nuclear Reactor Regulation U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Coc: mission Washington, DC 20555
Dear Mr. Denton:
In the Matter of the Application of
)
Docket Nos. 50-259 Tennessee Valley Authority
)
50-260 50-296 50-327 50-328 In a letter dated November 29, 1979, from B. K. Grimes to All Power Reactor Licensees, TVA was requested to provide information on evacua-tion time estimates.
The enclosed estimates were provided by those counties responsible for evacuation and protective action in the vicinity of Sequoyah and Browns Ferry Nuclear Plants.
No unusual evacuation constraints have been identified which require special planning measures beyond those now in effect.
It is our understanding that a complete evaluation of protective action including evacuation time estimates will be conducted by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in conjunction with their review of upgraded State and local emergency plans.
Very truly yours, TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY
