SUBJECT:
REVIEW GROUP MEETING ON ASSESSMENT OF THE THERMAL HYDRAULIC TECHNOLOGY OF THE TRANSITION PHASE OF A CORE-DISRUPTIVE ACCIDENT IN A LMFBR, BNL-HUREG-27366, INFORMAL REPORT.
A meeting will be held on April 22,1980,in Silver Spring, Maryland to review the state-of-technology of the subject matter. The Brookhaven National Laboratory has prepared an informal report on this subject.
A copy of this report will be sent to you under separate cover.
You are invited to comment on the BNL report, as well as offer your own additional information that you believe will be significant or helpful in further enhancing the completeness of it. The final report is planned for publication shortly after the meeting. ARSR considers the subject of transition phase phenomena, processes, and their interaction and potential sequences very important in LMFBR safety research and, in particular, in the development of the SIMMER Code. Hence, we consider an authoritative and & olete documentation of the state-of-technology in this area a necessary step toward their furtherance.
