(Three Mile Island, Unit 1)

Docket No. 50-289

Dear Board Members and Parties:

This letter confinns that the Chairman of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board has granter' a two-week extension of time from March 17, 1980, until March 31, 1980, in wh.h the Staff may file its on:,wers to interrogatories.

As grounds for its oral motion, the Staff noted that additional time would be required because of the number of interrogatories and the complex responses that they require in addition to the numerous other Staff commitments in its review of the Tf11-2 accident.

Sincerely,

] b bl fl{
