Dear Mr. Seidle:
As indicated in Reference (b), investigation and tests have been completed to determine the effect of loose spherical bushings in sway struts.
The investigations show that the struts will perform their design function even with the bushings dislocated; therefore, this condition is judged not to be reportable under either 10CFR50.55(e) or 10CFR21.
