South Texas Project Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. STN 50-498, STN 50-499 Final Report on the Reportable Deficiency Concernina Inadeouate Vendor Surveillance On December 4,1979, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55(e), Houston Lighting and Power Company notified your office of a deficiency involving an apparent breakdown in the vendor surveillance program.

The attached final report provides a description of the deficiency, the actions taken to correct and prevent a recurrence of the deficiency, and a summary of the safety analysis.
