Routine, unannounced inspection by a regional based inspector of nuclear material control and accounting including:

Licensee Action on Previously Identified Enforcement Item (Closed) Noncompliance (78-01-01):
Failure to submit Material Status Reports (Form NRC-742) within 30 days of the reporting period. The inspector found that Material Status Reports for the period April 1 through September 30, 1978 were completed and submitted within 30 days of the reporting period.

Audit of Material Status Report The inspector reviewed the supporting data for beginning inventory receipts and removals of the enriched uranium material status report covering the period April 1 through September 30, 1978.
Each of the above entries was accurately supported by Form NRC-741.
The inspector noted that Forms NRC-741 documenting receipt were 5
being acknowledged within 10 days of receipt as required by the instructions for completing the form.
Some minor errors were noted on the September 30 Material Status Report.
The material control representative was absent at the time of the inspection but a summary of the errors was left with the licensee.
No items of noncompliance were identified.
4.
Exit Interview The inspector met with the licensee representative (denoted in para-graph 1) at the conclusion of the inspection on January 10, 1979.
The inspector summarized the scope and findings of the inspection.
