Subject:

Arkansas Nuclear One - Unit 2 Docket No. 50-368 License No. NPF-6 Boron Dilution Analysis (File: 2-1510)

Gentlemen:

In our letter dated January 15, 1980, we committed to providing you with copies of any procedures changed in order to lessen the probability of or consequences of a boron dilution incident at ANO-2. Since January 15, we have reviewed the boron dilution analyses and recommended procedural changes provided by Combustion Engineering. We have determined that no procedure changes are necessary or desirable. As stated previously, sufficient design provisions, administrative controls and corrective actions are available to ensure that the operator can detect and termi-nate all boron dilution events before the shutdown margin is lost.

Very truly yours,
