Dear fir. Denton:
I am writing to request that.you and other members of the Nuclear Regulatory Comnission reconsider your recent decision to place a maritorium on issuance of construction permits and operating licenses for nuclear power plants.
It is my firm belief that such action is neither justified for reasons of safety nor in our best national interests.
My opinion is that each nuclear power project should be evaluated on its own merits and I believe the validity of this position is supported by the Presidential Commission which investigated the Three Mile Island incident.
In the interest of meeting our long-range energy require-ments and for the benefit of the American consumer, who is going to have to pay the energy bill, I hope that you will take action to begin issuing licenses and construction permits on a project by project basis.
Sincerely, N,
Q%
