Dear Mr. Grier:

This letter is submitted in reply to Inspection & Enforcement Bulletin No. 79-28, "Possible Malfunction of NAMCO Model EA 180 Limit Switches at Elevated Temperatures".

We have reviewed the Jamesport Nuclear Power Station and found that NAMCO Model EA 180 limit switches may be used in safety related equipment. However, none have been purchased as yet.

If they are used, suitable controls will be supplied in the bid documents to preclude the use of switches with a date code between 02-79 and 08-79, unless they have been modified according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Should you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Very truly yours, cC C7
