Dear Mr. Grier:
This letter is an update to our response dated October 17, 1979, to Bullatin 79-01 which pertains to the environmental qualification of Class 1E elect rical equipment.
Bulletin 79-013, which was received on January 18, 1930, requires more detailed inf orma tion, specifies me t h ods and formats to be used for rep orting qualification information, and expands the scope of Bulletin 79-01 to include the res olution of "s af e ty concerns relating to design basis environments and current qualification criteria not addressed in the f acilities ' FSARS."
Because of the increased scope in the qualification p rogram and unavoidable delays in acquiring certain qualification inf orma tion, ou r c omp le te review will n ot be comp le ted by January 30, 1980, as previously anticipated.
