This evaluation followeu guidelines set forth in Appendix A of Branch fechnical Position ltPCSB 9.5-1 with the results following the form described in
' Supplementary Guioance on Information Needed for Fire Protection Program Evaluation".
Thus far, the "Elllstone duelear Power Station, Unit No. 3, Fire Protection Evaluation" nas conscientiously been the fire protection engineering and design basis.
With unit construction being approximately 33 percent complete, many fire protection design f eatures have already been incorporated.
Fu r th e rrao r e, since no additional guidance applicabic to our docket ha s been forwarded, construction continues under the assumption that we comply with fire pro tec tion requirements satisf ac torily.
However, if coupliance is not recognizea, a timely response is requested to prevent costly backfits and subsequent delays at later, more critical construction sta;;es.
