Peference is made to the September 7 telephone conversation between your Messrs. D. Daigler and J. L'lieureux and Messrs. C. Smith and C. Emeigh of my staff regarding your plans for disposition of the waste water lagoons.

We have determined that your proposed method of assigning the Stim content of burial drums is acceptable with the stipulation that one time sampling studies will be performed on the dried material to support the assigned values.

It is our understanding that you wili be submitting a description of the drying operation to Fuel Cycle Licensing. We will also review that submittal Sincerely,,
