Docket No. 50-155 Gentlemen:
Consumers Power Company has responded to a number of additional questions posed by the NRC Staff with respect to the Company's application for a license amendment which would authorize the Company to increase the capacity of the spent fuel pool at Big Rock Point.
This information is set forth in the Company's letters of January 16 and February 1, 1980, and they are enclosed for the information of the Licens-ing Board and the parties.

Consumers Power Company has decided that the results of the qualitative evalu-ation referred to in response to Item 4 (of the January 16, 1980 response) should be confirmed by quantitative analysis.
Hence, thermal and stress analyses of the effects of pool boiling on the rack, liner and concrete structure are in process and they are expected to be completed by the end of February.
Results of these analyses : fill be forwarded to you.
