Dear Members of the Board:
This letter is submitted pursuant to the request set forth in the last paragraph of that Memorandum and Order Modify-ing Discovery Schedule dated January 16, 1980, requesting Appli-cants to provide the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board with further information concerning progress of the South Texas Pro-ject and any proposed schedule changes.
As was noted in Amendment No. 6 to the Application, the earliest construction completion date for Unit No. 1 is estimated to be March, 1983, and for Unit No. 2 is estimated to be March, 1985.
The current schedule calls for completion of construction and fuel load by September 1, 1983 for Unit 8002260 O U
BAKER & BoTTS Members of the Board February 6, 1980 No. 1 and by September 1, 1985, for Unit No.
2, with commerical operation for these two units scheduled for February 1984, and February, 1986, respectively.
