References (c) and (b) recommended certain action be taken by VYNPC to meet the " Lessons Learned" from the TMI incident. Reference (d) described the in which the Category A items were to be implemented by VYNPC. These manner items are now implemented.

In accordance with the requirements of Item 2.1.3A, the following additional information is provided. Positive indication of safety valve position is provided by acoustic accelerometers and their associated charge amplifiers located inside the primary containment.

At present, this equipment has not been tested for environmental or seismic qualification.

The program for completion of the environmental and seismic testing by the equipment vendor is described below.

Documentation of Test Results Report B&W/Sub-Mid 1980 Contractor It is the intent of VYNPC to provide position indication on the safety valves capable of functioning in the accident environment and seismic conditions of the area in which the equipment is located.
