SNM-1168, Docket 70-1201 Gentlemen:
This letter is to confirm discussions held today with Mr. Darrell Huff of your staff regarding reorganization of the CNFP Nuclear Materials Control Group into a newly-created Safeguards Group, under the provisions of 70.32(c).
Effective October 1, 1979, Mr. William Powers will become Manager of Safeguards, reporting to our current Virginia Operations Manager, Mr. W. F. Heer.
Mr. Powers will be responsibic for all aspects of nuclear materials control and physical security at CNFP.
Mr. Gene Coryelle of IE:II IIas been similarly notified in a telephone conversation today.
A license amendment request to modify our Fundamental Nuclear Materials Control Plan, Measurement Control Plan, and License Condition 1.1 of MPP-2 to specify the Safeguards Manager instead of the Safety, Licensing, and Safe-guards Manager will be made in the near future.
Communications regarding our license should continue to be made through the Safety, Licensing, and Safeguards Manager.
