INTERVENOR STEVEN C. SHOLLY DISCOVERY REOUEST PURSUANT TO 10 CFR 2.741(a)(2)

Intervenor Steven C. Sholly, pursuant to 10 CFR 2.741 (a)(2), hereby requests permisston of Licensee for entry upon the premises of the Three Mlle Island Nuclear Station, Unit No. 1, for the purposes of inspection, measurement, and photography in the following areas and of the following Ltems at Unit No. 1: -

A. The Reactor Control Room:

B. Storage locations for radiation monitoring equtpment and instruments which may be uttitzed in performing off-stte radtation measurements:

C. The Unit 1 Auxillary Butiding, specifically areas therein containing holding tanks for radloactive wastes and radioactively-contam-inated waters and, D. The hydrogen recombiner for Unit 1 as well as other systems associated with post-accident combustible gas control, such as containment venting systems and instrumentation utilized to detect combustible gas in the containment.

Intervenor makes this request with~ specific reference to Contentions #9, 10, 11, 14, and 15.

Inspections and measurements as proposed herein will take the form of actual physical measurements in appropriate units.

y Photography as proposed herein will take the form of 5 photographs taken by Steven C. Sholly and Christopher T.

Lemke, a free-lance photographer retained by Intervenor Steven C. Sholly. Photographs will be taken on black and i

white, color negative, and/or color slide films as deemed appropriate by the photographers. Two cameras will be utilized, a Nikon F Photomic and a Nikon FM with or without 1

MD-11 Motor Drive. A variety of lenses, all of Nikon manu-  :

facture, will be utilized. Films exposed during the proposed entry will be developed by an independent firm of the Intervenors choosing. Prints and/or slides chosen for use in the evidentiary hearings will be copied and supplied to Licensee by no later than the date at which all testimony ,

must be submitted prior to the start of the evidentiary hearing. .
